As swamped as we are with our new business about to hit the ground, I just had to take a minute to write and tell you how thrilled we are with all the work Summit Design has done for us. We have been in business for over 21 years now, and I can honestly say I cannot remember a company that has been easier to work with than yours. Most important, of course, is the end result- logos, business cards, stationery and print ads that are perfect representations of the ideas we have in our head. (How do you do that, anyway?) The fact that we receive exactly what we need and imagine is remarkable, and in the year or more that we have worked with Summit that is exactly what comes to us. Just as important, however, has been how very easy it has been to work with you and with your company. Your immediate response to any request, your enthusiasm for whatever the project is, and the willingness to go the extra mile for an undertaking with a short deadline is what makes our work with Summit Design so unusual. In particular, we have been able to take on a large project with a fairly short deadline on more than one occasion because you were willing and able to provide what we needed in less than ideal time.
Today, we spoke with our sales representative at the magazine you did the latest print ad for, and I could not help but remember that we were late in committing to placement of the ad because the products we needed to photograph arrived late, pushing everything into what seemed an untenably short time line. We contacted you, and you took it and ran, even though your long awaited family vacation was coming up. I especially remember the night we emailed pictures back and forth into the wee hours of the morning as you walked me through what formats I needed to use, and patiently helped me get you what you needed. You even went so far as to contact the magazine yourself to get the specifications we needed for the ad, the deadline, etc. We were indeed amazed when the ad was complete. You had received just a few words from me on what I wanted the impact of the ad to be, but that's all- I had no idea what I wanted. Within days you sent us a prototype that amazed us. It was exactly what we wanted, although we did not know how to describe that. And, today, the rep told us on the telephone, "and by the way, my issue arrived from the printer today, you will have yours in a day or so. Yours is the best ad in the magazine."
Of course, now if we don't have tremendous success, we have only our product to blame! But I just had to let you know that as thrilled as we were with her comments, we knew that your work, your talent, your imagination and experience, were what made our creations look so good in that ad.
